SEAQCF returns with its second edition, continuing its mission to showcase the richness and diversity of queer experiences in Southeast Asia. This year’s open call in July–August received an overwhelming response, reaffirming the festival as a vital space for queer artists to share their work and engage in meaningful dialogue.
We prioritized broader regional representation, ensuring participation from all Southeast Asian nations. While the works cannot capture the region’s full cultural diversity, they lay the foundation for a queer arts and culture network, exploring how art intersects with activism. SEAQCF celebrates the voices of emerging and established artists, as well as community organizers, fostering dialogue and centering diverse practices across the region.
